Obama’s Hamas-Linked Muslim Outreach Director Steps Down

It’s doubtful this will pop up on CNN or be touched with a 10-foot pole by Anderson Cooper on his 360 thing.

Don’t act surprised by this. It ain’t the first time Obama’s had campaign people with ties to Islamic radicals.

Full details here.

The Muslim-outreach coordinator to the presidential campaign of Barack Obama has resigned amid questions about his involvement in an Islamic investment fund and various Islamic groups.

Chicago lawyer Mazen Asbahi, who was appointed volunteer national coordinator for Muslim American affairs by the Obama campaign on July 26, stepped down Monday after an Internet newsletter wrote about his brief stint on the fund’s board, which also included a fundamentalist imam. [MV: The imam is Jamal Said. Read about him and his hate-mongering, terrorist-involved mosque at the link below.]

………………………..

The eight-year-old connection between Mr. Asbahi and Mr. Said was raised last week by the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report, which is published by a Washington think tank and chronicles the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood, a world-wide fundamentalist group based in Egypt. Other Web sites, some pro-Republican and others critical of fundamentalist Islam, also have reported on the background of Mr. Asbahi. He is a frequent speaker before several groups in the U.S. that scholars have associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Justice Department named Mr. Said an unindicted co-conspirator in the racketeering trial last year of several alleged Hamas fund-raisers, which ended in a mistrial. He has also been identified as a leading member of the group in news reports going back to 1993.

Mr. Said is the imam at the Bridgeview Mosque in Bridge-view, Ill., outside Chicago.

[OT] Obama, Confused, Asks “Whosajiggawha?”

This just in. Obama has now changed his stance on oil drilling. Read with me:

Barack Obama put forward a broad energy plan Monday designed to end U.S. reliance on imported oil within 10 years and shore up his standing amid a tightening White House race and high-anxiety over gas prices.

Obama’s new proposal, though, includes two significant reversals of positions he has taken in the past: He had steadfastly fought the idea of limited new offshore drilling and was against tapping the nation’s emergency oil stockpile to relieve pump prices that have stubbornly hovered around $4 a gallon.

Obama, who as recently as last month argued against tapping into the petroleum reserve located in caverns in Texas and Louisiana, proposed that the government sell 70 million barrels of oil from its stockpiles and said that releases from the reserve in the past have lowered gas prices within two weeks.

Okay, so once again we have solid proof that he’s a flip-flopping S.O.B. who frankly doesn’t have the first damn clue as to what he’s doing, hence the reason for the constant state of flux in his opinions, views and strategies. Given this latest embarassment–it should be an embarassment, but I predict not only will he not be made to answer for it but his supporters will also just pretend this didn’t happen–is The Golden Calf going to APOLOGIZE to John McCain [and to George Bush, who, despite all discontent, is still our President] for saying this:

Obama said that U.S. politicians have failed for three decades to deal with the energy crisis, and that McCain has been “part of that failure.” He called tapping the petroleum reserves a short-term solution to a long-term problem.

“Like George Bush and Dick Cheney before him,” Obama said of the Arizonan, “he sees more drilling as the answer to all of our energy problems, and like them, he’s found a receptive audience in the very same oil companies that have blocked our progress for so long. In fact, he raised more than one million dollars from big oil just last month.”

Also on Monday, the Obama campaign unveiled a television ad that criticizes McCain’s energy policies. “After one president in the pocket of big oil we can’t afford another,” says the ad, referring to Bush’s previous work in the oil industry.

Obama’s (america-hating, terrorist-pandering) Skeletons

  UPDATED AT THE BOTTOM

I nipped this extremely informative post from freedom fightin’ blogger Little Green Footballs, wherein he lists some of the many (but not all) questionable relationships Obama is engaged in. I hope he will update the list because I know there’s more dirt out there.

READ THIS.

Here’s a quick run-down of some of Barack Obama’s questionable and disturbing associations:

* Rabidly anti-Israel Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi. The Obamas were regular dinner guests at Khalidi’s Hyde Park home for years.

* Terrorist sympathizer Ali Abunimah, who runs the viciously anti-Israel web site Electronic Intifada.

* Unrepentant Weather Underground terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.

* Reverend Jeremiah Wright. What more needs to be said? [MV: Hater of America (“God DAMN America”); hater of whites; claims Jesus was “a poor black man oppressed by whites–the Romans”; pays members of the notorious America/Whites/Jews-haters the Nation of Islam to be his security detail; blames the U.S. government for 9/11 and cover-up; Islamic terrorist sympathizer; friend of hate-mongerers; hater of American democracy and our constitutional sovereignty; admitted admirer of Malcom X; a liar; a deceiver; a scheister; a charlatan; a manipulator; and an all around clown.]

* Anti-Israel foreign policy adviser Samantha Power — fired after calling Hillary Clinton a “monster.”

* Anti-Israel foreign policy adviser Robert Malley — fired when it was revealed he has been holding talks with Hamas.

* Hatem El-Hady, former official of the Hamas-linked charity Kindhearts, closed by the Justice Department. El-Hady’s web page—with Michelle Obama listed as an opt-in “friend” —suddenly vanished from the Obama campaign site with no explanation, after being exposed by LGF and others.

* Tony Rezko — a Chicago fixer currently in a whole lot of legal trouble.

There are more, I know; this is just off the top of my head.

I have never witnessed a presidential election in which a major candidate had this many skeletons in his closet.

MV: I’m sure there are loooooooooots of politicians with told and untold skeletons in their closets–including the Clintons who are thoroughly corrupt. But never have we seen a closet full of AMERICA-HATING, JEW-HATING and TERRORIST-PANDERING skeletons as this.

UPDATE TO SKELETONS LIST: Thanks so much to freedom fightin’ blogger Creeping Sharia who left a comment about more info on Obama’s ties to Islamists-Terrorists-Israel-Haters. Below is a bit, then read the rest here. And, DO read the rest.

James (Jim) Zogby is founder of the Arab American Institute and also writes for Huffington Post. He recently penned an op-ed in the Florida Times Union entitled Israel Must Treat Americans Fairly, critical of Israel’s treatment of Arab Americans traveling through Israel. In response, the Times Union published Israel Must be Treated Fairly which shed some light on Zogby:

Before founding the Arab American Institute, Zogby created the Palestine Human Rights Commission as the propaganda arm of the Palestine Liberation Organization, a terrorist group responsible for murdering thousands, including 11 Israeli athletes, at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

[…]

How many more “good friends” like James Zogby, does Barack Obama have? Is Obama aware of the Zogby legacy? The Wahabi and Saudi support? The Palestinian fund raising? The anti-America, anti-Israel, pro-Hamas, pro-Hizbollah, and terrorist sympathies? Is Obama also good friends with the other Zogby’s?

Yeah, inquiring minds wanna know, bitches!

And also from Creeping Sharia, there’s this. Read the whole thing, and here’s a snip:

As Creeping Sharia pointed out here and here, Barack Hussein Obama and his posse of current and former advisor’s have a proclivity towards anti-American and terrorist groups like Hamas.

It seems now that John McCain has begun citing Hamas’ preference for an Obama presidency, the Obama campaign realized Malley had become a liability. Similar to Obama claiming he didn’t know his church reprinted an op-ed by a Hamas leader, it has finally come to light that Obama advisor Robert Malley actually met with the Islamic terrorist group Hamas.

Oh dear God. This must be the fear a woman feels when she knows she’s about to be raped. I’m serious. You just want to back away and run like hell for the nearest exit while screaming for help. Only there is no exit and no one to hear you scream. Because, in addition to everything stated above, Hamas has recently publicly “endorsed” Obama’s candidacy. Yes, these Jew-murdering, America-hating, freedom-stealing thugs have announced they want to be butt buddies with the man who very well may be our next leader for 4 years.

What does it say about Barack Hussein Obama when he is admired by such people??

Watch this interview on the Hamas endorsement, with Aaron Klein–author of “Schmoozing with Terrorists”–on Fox News Channel. It’s brief, but a good and very sobering discussion.

Dan Kurtzer, I Call Shander On You

In an earlier post about George W. Bush’s failing grade with Israel, I briefly mentioned Daniel Kurtzer who was formerly one of Bush’s closest advisors on Israel and now advisor to Barack Obama. I made the comment that Dan Kurtzer is wasting his time on Obama, who–the facts already show–unabashedly surrounds himself both personally and professionally with notorious anti-Semites, Islamofascists, and terrorist-panderers. I can’t imagine in what capacity a Jew would be advising a man whose friends are unapologetic Jew-haters. But now I know. Freedom Fightin’ blogger, Yid With Lid has the goods on Dan Kurtzer, who is advising Obama to support splitting Jerusalem between the Jews and the Muslims if/when Obama becomes President.

JPPPI head and Winograd war panel member Yechezkel Dror said that Jerusalem must become the cultural center of the Jewish people.

Kurtzer said in response that “before we do that, we must first accept a number of facts and the political reality of Arabs who live in East Jerusalem who do not feel part of the city.”

Oh, want some whine with that cheese? So what??? Who cares what the Arabs in East Jerusalem think? IT’S NOT THEIR CITY. Period.

I just don’t understand this!! I especially don’t understand it coming from a Jew, but I don’t really understand it at all coming from anyone. Why should Israel divide Jerusalem? THE JEWS WERE THERE FIRST!! Before Mohammed (peanuts be upon him) went up on that mountain and pulled Islam and the Koran out of his ass, the Jews were already occupying Israel–with Jerusalem as their holiest city–for 3,000 years!! And, the Christians were also there before the Muslims. So why, why, why are people telling Israel to share Jerusalem with the Islamists????

I believe Obama would do it, too.

Islam didn’t even come from Israel. Judaism and Christianity did. Islam came from Saudi Arabia and Mecca is their holiest site. What were Muslims even ever doing in Israel, the land of the Jews, in the first place more than 1,000 years ago? Why did they build their rock there and their mosque, in a land occupied by Jews for 3,000 years and by Christians for 1,000 years? What ever gave the Muslims the right to claim any part of Israel for their own, either then or now? They have no rights to it and never have.

With Friends Like This…

As the saying goes, “With friends like this, who needs enemies?”. Wonder if that’s what the Israelis are thinking about Geoge Bush right about now.

I’ve been furious at Bush over a lot of things during the past 6 years–Iraq, our busted borders, his pandering to Mexico, his amnesty plan for illegal aliens, his lax treatment of the Islamic Jihad threat, the way he’s allowed the FBI to treat Jewish and Christian Arabic translators, and so many other things–and another to add to that list is his traitorous behavior towards Israel since the appalling and humiliating events of the Annapolis conference, which was later exacerbated by Condeleeza Rice’s traitorous remarks about Israel and the Palestinians during her mid-east visit last year, and Bush’s own mid-east visit where he HELD HANDS AND EXCHANGED KISSES with the Jew-hating King of Saudi Arabia from whom Bush received a “cultural exchange gift” of an Arabian sword…the same kind of sword Mohammed (peanuts be upon him) and his crazy followers used to slice and dice their way across Jewish and Christian lands, and which Islamic jihadists all over the world only recently replaced with guns.

Here is a good overview of the legacy on Israel Bush will leave behind when he soon exits the White House.

By Michael Abramowitz
Washington Post Staff Writer

Appearing at an Israeli Embassy reception last Thursday to mark the 60th anniversary of the Jewish state, Vice President Cheney voiced a sentiment that is common among many American Jews, evangelicals and others. “Israel has never had a better friend in the White House than the 43rd president of the United States,” he said.

Yet as President Bush prepares to return to Jerusalem this week to celebrate the milestone, that assessment is the subject of fierce debate both here and Israel. Few doubt the sincerity of Bush’s passion, which has translated into unprecedented backing for Israeli self-defense and the most clearly stated presidential commitment to protect Israel if it is attacked.

But from left to right, Bush also faces criticism for pursuing Middle East policies that, many diplomats and analysts believe, have left Israel more threatened than when he assumed office in January 2001.

“The sum total is that if you measure Israeli security at the beginning of this administration and at the end of the administration, based on things the president either could have done, should have done or failed to do, the report card is pretty negative,” said Daniel C. Kurtzer, who served as Bush’s first-term ambassador to Israel.

Kurtzer, who now advises Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, cites, in part, what he sees as Bush’s neglect of the peace process for most of his seven years in office. Despite the president’s optimism that he can achieve a Palestinian-Israeli deal in his final year, Kurtzer and other analysts think Israel remains far from peace with its neighbors.

Meanwhile, the Israeli defense establishment is having second thoughts about Bush’s decision to remove Saddam Hussein and the botched occupation of Iraq. Those policies, some argue, have helped fuel the rise of Israel’s nemesis, Iran, whose president has spoken openly of trying to wipe Israel off the map. The war has also threatened to destabilize neighboring Jordan with a flood of refugees.

At first glance, the Iraq invasion “looked as if it would serve Israel’s interest,” said Shlomo Brom, a retired general and former director of strategic planning for the Israel Defense Forces. But “the way that it was implemented by this administration is eventually causing damage to Israel. It is strengthening the radical elements in the Middle East.”

Brom concluded: “People are mistaken to think that the most friendly president is also the best president that Israel has ever had.”

And Dan Kurtzer, you’re wasting your time with Obama. Your time would be better spent “advising” a telephone pole, a park bench, or a hole in the wall.

The Shander of the American Jews

“Shander” is a Yiddish expression meaning “de-based honor” or “a scandal to non-Jews”, in other words a shander is when a Jew does something that would embarass or shame himself before gentiles. And I compeletely agree with the statement below. I think Obama is going to prove to be big trouble for Israel and the interests of Jews all over the world, including the USA. I think, sadly, the 60% of American Jews who fell for the “change we can believe in” crap (or what I refer to as “change we can believe in but which can’t be explained”) and are supporting him are going to wake up to a bad dream over the next four years. And I do believe Obama will be the next U.S. President.

It’s not just the 60% of Jews supporting Obama. Shame on all of us for enduring this racist, elitist, unqualified, inexperienced, schmoozer of terrorists and anti-Semites, manipulating race-baiter. Him, with his wife who was “never proud of America in [her] whole adult life”. Obama will never do anything for the Jews, no matter how much he claims he will defend Israel. Sure, he might stand by Israel’s right to exist (as recognized by the United Nations) but that doesn’t mean he has any personal love or respect for the nation, its people and its history. Americans have become so stupid, so complacent, so intellectually lazy, so spiritually vapid that we fall for anything politicians tell us…almost without questioning or challenging them. This is especially most true where it concerns liberal politicians (and John McCain falls into that category, too, because we all know he’s not a conservative). This is why Obama is getting away with claiming to be a supporter of Israel but yet surrounds himself with Jew-haters and terror-mongerers without embarassment, explanation or shame. It’s disconcerting and unsettling: If Obama can fool 60% of American Jewry, why would non-Jewish Americans feel any concern at all?

She makes it very plain what she expects when it comes to Obama’s candidacy and American Jews. They shouldn’t vote for him because he is “backed by anti-Semites” and willing to talk with them, Ahmadinejad, for starters. She considers it a ’shander’ that 60% of American Jews polled would vote for Obama. Ironically if he did get elected this fall, the best thing that would happen according to Glick would be that Israel could no longer take ‘orders’ from our State Department.

A question was posed about what American Jews should do given this background. She said that American Jews have to educate their youth about their Jewish identity and connection to Israel. She noted the work by my friend Charles Jacobs of the David project in training youths for Israel advocacy at both the College and high school level. Glick noted an alliance between the David Project and CAMERA, the middle east media monitoring group in examining public school world history texts, treatment about Israel. This is a matter that recently re-surfaced by the American Textbook Council in the Second Sewall Commission report on the presentation of Islam in such texts. She noted that American Jews, especially philanthropists who consider withdrawing funds from universities with anti-semitic faculty should realize that anti-Semites will always attack Jews. After all they are anti-Semites. We must in her view stay on the offense against such attacks, wherever they occur. — Caroline Glick, Jerusalem Post
